INSPIRE TEXAS teacher training includes a built-in network of education professionals who contribute not only to your preparation as a teacher, but also to professional development throughout your career in education. Unlike many other programs, INSPIRE TEXAS provides more than just training. Your fees include expert instructor-led coursework and Quality Matters© certified curriculum, class cohorts, mentorships, free job fairs, the ability to certify in other areas of education, and direct resources from our parent organization - Region 4 Education Service Center.
Upon acceptance into our program, you have the option of paying your pre-service training fee in monthly installments. The remaining balance is not due until you land your first teaching job (Internship or Clinical Teaching). We do our best to provide affordable solutions for you while on your journey to becoming a teacher.

Once you begin your teaching assignment, either as a salaried intern or as a clinical teacher, the following fees go into effect:

INSPIRE TEXAS awards scholarships that are applied toward Teacher Certification preservice training fees for outstanding math and science teacher candidates.
If you are approved for grades 4–8 Math, 4–8 Science, Core Subjects EC–6 Bilingual, Core Subjects 4–8 Bilingual, 7–12 Math, 7–12 Math/Physics, or 7–12 Science (Composite, Life or Physical Science), you are eligible for a scholarship that reduces your total preservice training fee to $520.
You must complete a clinical teaching assignment or internship in the area for which the scholarship was awarded. If you are approved to test in other areas during preservice training, the other areas are subject to full preservice training fees.
Discounts and/or other promotions cannot be combined with the scholarship discount.

The Troops to Teachers program provides the funding directly to the veteran; however, unlike the traditional VA benefits, the funding is processed wholly by Troops to Teachers. For eligibility information on the Troops to Teachers program, visit www.texastroopstoteachers.org.

Each year, the Texas Education Agency (TEA) submits a list of subject matter teacher shortage areas and a list of designated low-income schools to the US Department of Education (USDE). Teachers with certain types of student loans may qualify for partial loan forgiveness, deferment, or cancellation benefits.
